If you died today, would you go
to Heaven?
This is the most important question anyone will ever ask you.
Everyone will go somewhere, but where will you go? The Bible
teaches that there are only two places... Heaven or Hell. Yes,
there is a real blazing Hell that burns forever, and no one
ever talks about it anymore.
When you’ve breathed you last breath and your heart has beat
it’s last beat, you will face an almighty, all knowing, all powerful,
holy God who created the Heavens and the Earth,
who will ask you, "Why should I let you into my Heaven?"
What are you going to say? How will you answer him?
You will be alone on that day. Your family and friends
won’t be there to support you. Your pastor, priest, mentor,
guru and lawyer won’t be there to defend you. Your good works
and righteous living can’t save you. Church membership
can’t save you. Baptism can’t save you. The Pope can’t save you.
Mary can’t save you. Abraham can’ save you. Budda can’t
save you. Mohammad can’t save you. Gazing at crystals
can’t save you. Giving to the poor can’t save you. Repetitious
prayers can’t save you. What answer will you give to God Almighty?
If you’re not absolutely sure that you are going to Heaven,
or if you have any doubts where you will spend eternity,
listen to the most important message you will ever hear.
FIRST...
Recognize that you cannot make it to Heaven on your
own power because the Bible calls us all sinners.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:23
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 3:10
NEXT...
Realize that a righteous God requires a payment for sin...
which is death.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23
NOW...
Trust that a payment was made on your behalf in the form of
a sinless Jesus Christ shedding His blood and sacrificing
His life for yours on the cross.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we
were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
FINALLY...
Accept by faith that Jesus Christ died and rose for you so that
you
can escape the torment of a hot, fiery Hell that burns forever.
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that
believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath
of God abideth on him.
John 3:36
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be
saved. Romans 10:13
The word believe means to trust, to depend on. To believe on the
Lord Jesus Christ means to accept the fact that you are a sinner,
that as a sinner you owe the sin penalty, and that Jesus Christ
died on the cross to pay the debt you owe. But it also means going
one step further. It means that you will completely trust Christ
to get you to Heaven... that you will put the matter of salvation
in His hands and depend on Him for everlasting life. The moment
you do this, God promises you are not condemned but have
everlasting life and that you shall never perish.
If you will trust Jesus Christ to be your Saviour,
pray this simple prayer...
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I deserve to
pay my sin debt, but I do believe that you died in my place to
pay the debt I owe. Today, I trust you as my Saviour. I will depend
on You from this moment on for my salvation. Now help me to
live for You and to be a good Christian. Amen.
If you’ve prayed that prayer and honestly believe in your heart
that Jesus Christ died for you, you are guaranteed NOT to
be condemned to an everlasting Hell. If you have family or friends
